Restoration & Conservation
Carroll O'Keeffe & Co. Ltd. have carried out some Restoration/Conservation work ranging from restoration of protected structures to rebuilding old houses. Our philosophy of Recycle, Reuse, Repair helps us to successfully carry out these conservation contracts.
Clocktower, Newbridge College, Co Kildare
Work was completed on the refurbishment of Heritage windows and roof repairs and restoration of the 1924 Clocktower at Newbridge College, Co Kildare.

Private Period House, Mountrath
Total refurbishment of period house which included :
Replacement of windows with traditional up and down sash windows including working shutters. Repair chimneys including the replacement of terminal flues, repair stone corbels and re-flashing.
Old slates removed from roof, repair rafters, replace and fit back large natural slates including replacement of lead valleys. Install new lead roof and flash to existing. Hack off sand and cement from stonework and replaster using lime plaster.
Repair internal walls including re-pointing of brick and stone with lime mortar and skimming some walls with lime mortar. Modern extension to meet building regulations and air tightness.

Bolands Lock House, Tullamore
The Lock house in Toolmaker was disused and in poor repair and Carroll O'Keeffe carried out refurbishment work
